Online Learning

Superfactory has created a series of self-paced online learning modules covering core lean manufacturing concepts. These modules are ideal for:

• Helping new employees come up to speed on lean concepts.
• Training a group of employees on new concepts prior to implementation.
• Providing a learning resource for motivated employees
• Field or remote employees who may not be able to attend in-house training.
• Individuals wishing to learn about lean concepts without the time and expense of traveling to a training location.

Each module contains the following:

• An interactive audio and video presentation with an introduction, historical background, and detailed discussion of the concept.
• A Knowledge Check at the end to test the understanding of the concept, and a report can be emailed to the student and training coordinator as proof of successful completion.
• Each module is self-paced and designed to be completed in approximately one hour. However it can be completed at any pace in multiple online sessions.
• The online learning site also includes discussion forums, news, and links to other lean manufacturing resource sites.

The online modules are browser-based, with the only system requirements being a major browser (such as Internet Explorer) and Macromedia Flash. Take a sample class on Jidoka here.
